‘A Well Timed Nudge’ is a nudge involving technology and good intentions. The objective of the nudge is simple – to reduce the amount of time a person spends in the shower. The nudge is simple too – to place a timer on the instant geyser that heats the water for the shower. The user sets the timer of the instant geyser before entering – say for 5 minutes. The geyser will automatically switch off after a period of 5 minutes. The hot water will stop flowing – and the shower user, who most likely enjoys hot showers, will stop showering. It is true that the timer works better in colder climates.
